Back by popular demand! Join us for a very special evening of stories and songs with internationally touring performer Matt Nakoa!
Singer-songwriter Matt Nakoa is one of those well-kept secrets you just can’t help but celebrate: intimate and genuine, soulful and bittersweet, a rich poetic songbook sung in praise to a complicated, emotionally present world. A “stunningly talented musician eminently comfortable in his own skin”, Nakoa’s legendary skills on piano, guitar, and voice, and his graceful, energized live performances, have taken him from sold-out NYC piano bars and folk festival mainstages to India and the White House, with tours alongside Susan Werner, Tom Rush, Red Molly, and more, and award-winning recognition from Kerrville Folk Festival’s prestigious New Folk Competition, WFUV’s “Discovery of the Year” and Falcon Ridge Folk Festival’s “Most Wanted” Emerging Artist. Come experience the magic of his songs and performance for yourself in a warm, welcoming coffeehouse atmosphere!
All Unity House Concerts take place at the Unitarian Universalist Society of Greater Springfield at 245 Porter Lake Drive in Springfield, MA – less than an hour from Northampton, Hartford, Worcester and the Berkshires, with easy access to Interstate 91.
Doors open for all shows at 6:30. Homemade desserts and coffee are available for a small donation in Fellowship Hall. Open seating begins at 7:00.
Tickets $15 for adults, $5 for students w/ID. Cash only, please!
